E&I Technician (CompEx Certified) – Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
• Ensure compliance with ATEX / IECEx standards and safe working practices in explosive atmospheres.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on field instruments, control panels, and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Support commissioning, loop checking, and system integration activities.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, calibration certificates, and compliance reports.

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
• CompEx Certification (Ex01–Ex04 or higher) – mandatory.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar hazardous area industries.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous area equipment, ATEX/IEC standards, and safe isolation procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in offshore/onshore environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
