E&I Technician Receiving Terminal

Introduction

We are recruiting for an E&I Technician to join our Receiving Terminal office in Kıyıköy. In this role, you will be responsible of conducting installations, maintenance, repair, detecting mechanical and electrical malfunctions in ICSS and its subsystems.

The TurkStream Offshore Pipeline starts in Anapa, Russia, running over 900 kilometers through the Black Sea to the Turkish coast. The pipeline will help secure energy supplies to Turkey and South-Eastern Europe in a reliable and sustainable way. We have used state-of-the-art technology, materials and equipment, to safeguard the pipeline’s safe operation for many decades to come.

Function

• Maintenance and repair of the E&I equipment;
• Inspection and tuning of the E&I equipment, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting, electrical measurement of the connection lines parameters;
• Replacement and assembly of E&I equipment;
• Routine maintenance of E&I equipment, detecting and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical malfunctions in E&I equipment;
• Installation, maintenance, repair, detecting mechanical and electrical malfunctions in ICSS and its subsystems, package control units;
• Check-out and installation of instrumentation, junction boxes and other field E&I equipment;
• Shall carry out the entrusted scope of work properly and within the set deadlines.
• Shall observe HSSE requirements and follow the guidelines on a daily basis;
• Shall observe the corporate code of conduct;
• Shall follow all the instructions of E&I Engineer, as well as Metrology Engineer.
• Shall monitor the state of automation and instrumentation, appliances, protection means, and shall take measures to maintain them in good wording condition;
• Shall keep the set technical documentation on Instrumentation and Automation devices;
• Shall perform the works pursuant to the given task, work permit, instruction, list of the works to be executed as part of current operation and according to the other documents; shall observe the occupational safety requirements while performing the works;
• Shall check operability of equipment, devices, protection means, earthling devices, intactness of skirts and instrumentation, as well as availability of firefighting means (fire extinguishers, firefighting equipment, instrumentation and gear) prior to proceeding with his/her works;
• Shall keep his/her work place clean and use the required protection means, appliances and special protective clothes and shoes;
• Shall not admit any unauthorized individuals to his/her work place;
• Shall immediately inform his/her direct manager of any incidents that take place on the work floor, of any symptoms of an occupational disease as well as of any situation that threatens human life and health;
• E&I Technician shall be held liable for the following within the scope determined with the effective legislation of the Republic of Turkiye:
• Improper performance or non-performance of the official duties envisaged in this job description;
• Offenses committed in the course of carrying out activities;
• Violation of internal code of conduct of the company;
• In case of absence of the E&I Technician, the duties shall be carried out by the individual appointed in the established manner;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technical High School, Vocational School, Associate degree, 2 year education and above degree in Instrumentation and Telecom Engineering or related disciplines;
• Minimum 5 years of experience within E&I equipment operation and automation and telecom maintenance, EKAT certificate is required;
• Knowledge in normative materials on the operation of automation and telecom infrastructure, Electrical Code of Turkiye, EU, HSSE and Industrial Safety Codes, be familiar with international Codes and Standards (NEN, IEC, ATEX, TSE and GOST);
• Experience with Instrumentation, Automation and Telecom design;
• Experience with PLC, ESD, DCS, SCADA and HMI systems, preferably Siemens PCS7;
• Experience with Fire and Gas systems;
• Experience with auxiliary and supporting systems, such as electrical systems, networks, Automation and Telecommunication;
• Experience with Management of interfaces (other Contractors, disciplines, etc.);
• Understanding of common oil & gas engineering tools, such as P&ID’s, Cause & Effect diagrams, control narratives etc.;
• Knowledge of arrangement of the entrusted devices, main types of malfunction, methods of their detecting and troubleshooting;
• Knowledge of power supply systems;
• Knowledge of standards, tolerances, rules and procedures for the equipment maintenance and repair;
• Awareness of occupational health and safety rules and safety guidelines;
• Good coordination and communication skills;
• Good knowledge of the English language – both written and oral;
• Good knowledge of the Turkish or Russian language is a plus.
