EKG Technician (8a-4:30p) Johnson City, TN

Job Description:
Summary:
The EKG Technician will perform quality EKGs, and signal average EKGs. The Technician is responsible for the application and disconnection of holter and event monitors. The Technician will cross-train with data collection needed in the patient assessment, hook-up for stress testing, and in other Cardiovascular areas as needed.

Requirements:
Abilty to read and follow written Physician interpretation and orders. Must be proficient in aspects of EKG technician skills including, but not limited to filing, typing, and transcribing. Must have working knowledge of office equipment including computers, the EKG Management and Storage system, and use this knowledge to operate the hospital systems. Must be proficient in the English language, medical terminology, punctuation, and spelling. Completion of arrhythmia and EKG course preferred to allow proper communication of clinical finding to the nurse or Physician. Completion of the arrhythmia and EKG course required after employment.
