Job Title: ELA Middle School Teacher (Grades 6–8)

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year

Nova Classical STEM Academy is seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Arts (ELA) Middle School Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will deliver rigorous, engaging instruction aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards, support student achievement, and contribute to a school culture rooted in classical education and STEM integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality ELA instruction to middle school students (grades 6–8)
• Implement curriculum aligned with Florida standards and school expectations
• Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Create a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
• Comply with all school policies, charter requirements, and Florida education laws

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Florida Educator Certificate in English (5–9 or 6–12) or eligibility for certification
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and state assessments
• Ability to meet all Florida background screening and fingerprinting requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Middle school teaching experience
• Experience in a classical education setting
• Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
• Interest in interdisciplinary instruction and STEM integration
