Position Overview:
This position is an in person position available as either a full-time or part-time role, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday—no nights or weekends required. As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal at Piede Law Firm, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal support and ensuring clients receive exceptional service from the moment they walk through our doors. Providing each client with an attentive, courteous, and warm welcome is essential and reflects our firm’s commitment to excellent client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents related to our various practice areas
  • Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and properly maintained
  • Conduct legal research and gather information relevant to cases
  • Communicate with clients, providing updates on their cases and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with external parties such as financial institutions and government agencies to obtain required documentation
  • Support the attorney with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software - recommended but not required
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with a self-driven, analytical, and organized approach
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and address issues before they escalate
  • Ability to identify, request and understand financial statements
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with elderly clients and their families
  • A team player who contributes to a collaborative and respectful work environment
