Electrical and I&C Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• In-charge of maintenance & troubleshooting activities for electrical and I&C equipment at Bandırma Energy Base.
• Work closely with relevant teams.
• Supervise contractual works for electrical and conduct safety inspections in the plant.
• Prepare and release Electrical and I&C maintenance procedures for the power plant equipment.
• Define the schedule for maintenance of equipment.
• Onsite service and fault finding and administration of DCS systems to ensure required performance and availability.
• Work with the Maintenance Manager and Planners to actively develop and take ownership for short- and long-range planning and execution of crucial programs, shutdowns, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Lead or participate in plant Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes to ensure corrective actions are appropriate and timely.
• Write project scope and material specifications.
• Provide budgetary support for assigned projects.

Who are we looking for?

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic & Control Engineering, or equivalent.
• Min 3 years of Electrical /I&C Maintenance experience in Power plants/CCPP Plants.
• Knowledge in Siemens S7 200/300/400/1500 PLC, DCS and HMI systems and process automation will be positive competence.
• Familiar with various electrical equipment i.e. HV/LV switchgear, motor, transformer, UPS, Battery Charger, EHV/HV/LV Cables, Bus ducts etc.
• Knowledge of single line diagrams, protection and metering schemes, motor schematics, Electrical Equipment layouts, plant cable routing layouts, lighting and grounding layouts, area classification drawings, substation automation architecture, synchronizing and bus changeover schemes.
• A working knowledge of cyber security.
• Calibrations and equipment function check.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of steam / gas turbines applications.
• Provides guidance on standards development through technical committee participation. Interprets standards, industry codes (such as NFPA, ANSI IEEE, IEC, API, NEC and NACE) and recommends changes to reduce costs associated with overly stringent requirements.
• Detailed understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance methods.
• Strong computer skills include spreadsheets, databases, word- processing and project software.
• Solid understanding with CMMS maintenance tools (SAP/ Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.)
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to communicate complex issues to management and peers clearly, concisely and accurately.
• Safety oriented: Keeps safety in mind always – looks out for the safety of teammates and self.
• Ability to understand complex contractual issues as they relate to plant Operations and Maintenance.
• Ability to productively work independently and as an integral plant staff team member.
• Capable of working independently with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a short time frame.
• Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
• Ability to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations.
• Excellent command of English.
• Will be able to reside in Bandırma.
