Electrical Apprentice

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Electrical Apprentice will assist in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in both industrial and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Support the team in working with low voltage and high voltage systems as needed.
• Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
• Follow safety protocols on construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to electrical work, including NEC compliance.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects, contributing to frame carpentry tasks when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment is essential.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts, including low voltage, high voltage, and NEC regulations.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on safety and teamwork.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in the electrical trade.
