Electrical Apprentice

Electrical Apprentices works alongside a licensed electrician to assist with the installation of residential electrical systems in new construction, remodels, and replacement projects. This position is designed to provide hands-on training while developing the technical skills and knowledge required to become a licensed electrician. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations.
• Help install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, breakers, and electrical panels.
• Pull wire, drill holes, mount boxes, bend conduit (when applicable), and prepare materials for installation.
• Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials needed for each job.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site before, during, and after installations.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
• Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices under the direction of a licensed electrician.
• Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials for installation.
• Assist with testing and verifying completed installations.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members while on job sites.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Attend company meetings, training sessions, and apprenticeship classes as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and confined areas.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and reaching.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
