Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Electrical Assistant Engineer to support our project execution and commercial teams. The role involves assisting in electrical design coordination, site execution, BOQ preparation, drawings review, and basic commercial activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on site experience combined with the ability to understand drawings, quantities, and cost-related aspects of electrical works.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in execution and supervision of electrical works including power, lighting, earthing, and low-current systems.
• Review and understand electrical drawings, single line diagrams, layouts, and specifications.
• Assist in preparation, checking, and updating of Electrical BOQs, quantity take-offs, and material schedules.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth site execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Assist in preparation of technical submittals, material approvals, and method statements.
• Support the commercial team in variation identification, quantity verification, and cost impact assessments.
• Assist in preparation of measurement sheets, work progress reports, and payment-related documentation.
• Participate in testing & commissioning activities and coordinate rectification of snags.
• Ensure compliance with authority requirements, HSE standards, and company quality procedures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in MEP contracting projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Basic understanding of commercial aspects, including variations, measurements, and cost control.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical standards and authority requirements (DEWA/FEWA/EWE experience is an advantage).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel is mandatory).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Immediate availability preferred.
