Electrical AutoCAD Draughtsman

Universal BIM & CAD Technical Solutions LLC is urgently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have solid UAE experience in electrical drafting, strong AutoCAD skills, and a good understanding of MEP coordination and local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings using AutoCAD in line with project specifications
• Draft layouts for power distribution, lighting systems, cable routing, earthing, and lightning protection systems
• Develop single-line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, and panel board details
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, MEP teams, and site staff to ensure accurate and clash-free designs
• Revise drawings based on consultant feedback, site conditions, and project changes
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority standards (e.g., DEWA, Dubai Municipality regulations)
• Prepare as-built drawings and maintain proper documentation of all revisions
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material coordination when required
• Participate in clash detection and coordination drawings with other services (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting)
• Maintain proper layering, standards, and file management as per company and project requirements
• Support project teams with drawing submissions, approvals, and technical documentation

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of UAE experience in electrical drafting within MEP or construction companies
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting); knowledge of Revit/BIM is an added advantage
• Good understanding of electrical systems, including power, lighting, ELV basics, and panel layouts
• Familiarity with UAE electrical codes and standards (DEWA regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical layouts, schematics, and SLDs
• Experience in coordination and multidisciplinary projects is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Currently based in the UAE and available for immediate joining
