Job Summary:

The Electrical / Automation Project Engineer is responsible for end-to-end execution of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across industrial projects. The role includes specification, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and startup of systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specify, install, execute, configure, test, and commission Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation systems.
  • Review, check, and verify project documentation and drawings, including:
  • Design Specifications
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • P&IDs
  • System Layouts
  • Cable Schedules
  • I/O Lists
  • Instrument Index
  • Control Philosophy
  • Cause & Effect Diagrams
  • Develop and review Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical and control systems.
  • Verify control panel/cabinet fabrication and perform internal testing.
  • Conduct Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at customer locations.
  • Perform loop checking, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Configure, set up, and calibrate field instruments.
  • Work hands-on with Rockwell and Siemens PLC & SCADA systems.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules using MS Project, including:
  • Manpower planning
  • Resource allocation
  • Tools and material planning
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical, automation, and instrumentation projects (preferred).
  • Hands-on installation experience across industries such as:
  • Power Generation
  • Water & Wastewater
  • Industrial Automation
  • Proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of LV (Low Voltage) electrical systems.
  • Practical experience with PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
