Electrical BIM Designer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Designer with strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to support electrical design, coordination, and shop drawing production. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on electrical BIM experience in commercial or high-rise construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical models in Revit and AutoCAD MEP (power, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage)
• Produce coordinated electrical shop drawings and installation layouts
• Model conduit routing (horizontal and vertical), panel locations, feeders, and branch circuits
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
• Coordinate with other trades (mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural)
• Ensure constructability and alignment with field installation practices
• Maintain BIM standards and model accuracy across all project phases
• Participate in coordination meetings and resolve clashes proactively

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of electrical BIM experience
• Minimum education requirements Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology, Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and Navisworks
• Experience modeling electrical systems in commercial/high-rise buildings
• Understanding of NEC requirements and electrical installation methods
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with NYC projects
• Experience producing fully coordinated electrical shop drawings
• Strong understanding of installation sequencing

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
