Electrical BIM modeler

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical BIM Modeler to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate electrical BIM models for various building and infrastructure projects in accordance with project requirements and BIM standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical BIM models using Revit and other BIM software
• Prepare detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and coordinated shop drawings
• Coordinate with MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines to resolve clashes and design conflicts
• Generate BIM deliverables including sections, schedules, BOQs, and as-built models
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and assist in clash detection processes
• Ensure models comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), standards, and client requirements
• Assist engineers and project teams in design development and documentation
• Update and revise models based on design changes and site requirements
• Maintain organized BIM documentation and model data

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5- 10 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler in building projects
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and MEP coordination
• Experience in preparation of coordinated shop drawings and BIM documentation
• Familiarity with BIM standards and workflows
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE/GCC project experience preferred
• Experience in consultancy environment is an advantage
• Knowledge of Dynamo or other BIM automation tools is a plus
