Electrical BIM Modeler / Draftsman

OENGR is seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Modeler / Draftsman to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role involves developing accurate BIM models and detailed electrical drawings for building and infrastructure projects, in compliance with project specifications, BIM standards, and UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical BIM models and drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, and models for lighting, power distribution, ELV, earthing, and low-current systems.
• Translate engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into precise BIM models and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free models.
• Support BIM coordination and clash detection activities as required.
• Revise and update BIM models and drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing registers.
• Ensure compliance with UAE electrical codes, Abu Dhabi Municipality standards, and project BIM requirements.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings, BIM models, and quantity take-offs when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler / Draftsman, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, BIM workflows, LOD requirements, and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering inputs and produce accurate BIM models and drawings.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an engineering consultancy.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements and UAE electrical regulations.
• Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and coordination processes.
