JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Electrical Closeout Engineer
Location: Oman, Sur
Role Purpose:
Oman Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (Oman LNG) operates a liquefaction plant located at Qalhat near Sur in the South Sharqiyah Governorate, with its head office in Muscat. The plant produces and exports Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) through three LNG trains.
The Electrical Closeout Engineer role will support brownfield and greenfield project closeout activities related to Static and Rotating discipline and also for Non-Plant assets… (Drawing As-Built / Redline mark-up and linking with respective assets in DMS and in ERP, Asset creation in ERP, updating asset attribute in ERP, Creating PM Schedules in ERP, Creating MESC codes of spare parts and linking with related assets in ERP). The position will focus on ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of Electrical works related to the TA and NTA projects.
Purpose
To provide technical and project closeout support mentioned in the above ROLE PURPOSE for Electrical works, ensuring compliance with HSSE, Engineering, Quality, and Construction Management procedures. The role aims to proper update the drawings/documents and technical data in the ERP/DMS (Document management system), using ASSAI, NOMCAT and other tools
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure Electrical design deliverables are constructible and aligned with site constraints, operability, maintainability, and safety requirements.

Review and prepare As-Built request of Electrical drawings (Single line diagrams(SLD), Functional Block wiring diagram, Circuit diagrams, Load distribution, Electrical load calculations, Cable Sizing Calculations, Cable schedules, schematic diagrams, General arrangement, O&M Manual, SPIR, and Data Sheets) Method statements, and construction procedures for project close-out purpose.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (Instrumentation, mechanical and civil) to resolve site interface and integration issues.

Physical verification of the installation and commissioning of field equipment’s as per the project scope.

ERP related activity (asset creation/deletion, asset attribute, MESC creation and asset BOM linking/de-linking and PM Schedule/asset routing).

Coordinate with TA’s for review and approval of MDCR raised for the activities mentioned in the serial number 5.

Responsible for closing the all-document related punches mentioned in the MCPL (Mechanical completion punch list) and finally PHC (Project handover certificate) approval from all related TA’s.

KPI of punch and MOC closing to be within the time frame.

Zero non-compliance finding during audit.
Qualifications AND EXPERIENCE:

Omani National-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector, with significant exposure to Electrical CMMS works.

Proven experience in Electrical drawings (Single line diagrams, Functional Block wiring diagram, Circuit diagrams, Load distribution, Electrical load calculations, Cable Sizing Calculations, Cable schedules, schematic diagrams, General arrangement, O&M Manual, SPIR, and Data Sheets) Method statements, and construction procedures for project close-out purpose and to prepare work packages to support execution team.

Experience working within EPC projects and managing contractor interfaces for Electrical (Power distribution & motors and drives) and integration works.
Familiarity with international Electrical standards and codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE EN , ISO, ANSI ASME,ASTM) and familiar with ERP and related tools.
Working Conditions

Based in Sur on a 5/2 work schedule.

Regular involvement in site maintenance activities.
Extended working hours during plant shutdowns.
Job skills

Strong knowledge of Electrical CMMS and design, and applicable international standards.

Ability to interpret SLD, Block wiring, Schematic Diagram, Cable Sizing Calculations, Cable schedules, O&M manual, prepare and review method statements and ITP while ensuring compliance with quality and HSSE requirements.

Review and update the as-built drawing as per redline-markup and site condition.

Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address technical, integration, and site interface challenges.

Work Packs preparation as per the project requirements.
