Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is urgently seeking an Electrical Compliance Engineer (CE / ATEX / PED) with strong expertise in CE marking, EU regulatory compliance, and ATEX / PED certification for offshore HVDC projects. This role will lead compliance activities for HVAC and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems, ensuring full conformity with European directives, notified body requirements, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead CE marking and EU regulatory compliance activities for offshore HVDC electrical systems.

Ensure compliance with EU Directives, including Machinery Directive, LVD, ATEX, PED, MED, and CPR.

Review and validate vendor equipment certifications, technical dossiers, and compliance documentation.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, vendors, and notified bodies throughout the certification process.

Conduct and lead risk assessments and prepare Declarations of Conformity (DoC) and Certificates of Conformity (CoC).

Develop, maintain, and control compliance matrices, technical files, and traceability records.

Oversee DGUV V3 and ATEX compliance for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) packages.

Support HVAC self-certification, Mechanical Completion (MC), and ITR handover activities.

Track certification progress, identify compliance gaps, and drive timely closure.

Provide technical guidance and training on CE marking and EU regulatory requirements to project teams.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in CE marking, certification, or EU regulatory compliance
(Offshore, Renewable, or HVDC project experience required).

Strong knowledge of ATEX, PED, MED, CPR, DGUV V3, LVD, and Machinery Directive.

Proven experience in DoC / CoC validation and technical file preparation.

Familiarity with ISO standards, conformity assessment procedures, and risk assessment methodologies.

Strong documentation, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
