Electrical Design Engineer – Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design calculations, drawings, and specifications for construction projects.
• Design LV/MV power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, local regulations, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Support construction teams with design clarifications and site queries.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and technical meetings.
• Coordinate with authorities and consultants for approvals and inspections.
• Ensure designs are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and buildable.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and revision control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design for building or construction projects.
• Knowledge of LV/MV systems, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
• 5-7 years of experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with design calculations, drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
