Electrical Design Engineer

Balu & Associates is a MEP Consultancy firm dedicated to engineering consultancy services. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Design Engineer -5 years experience to join our team and contribute to our ongoing projects and innovative solutions.

Job Summary: As an Electrical Design Engineer at Balu & Associates, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems and components for a wide range of projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our electrical designs meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

ELECTRICAL SERVICES:

1. Preparation of design brief report and budgetary cost estimates.

2. Electrical load calculation for the layout and sizing of transformer, Diesel Generator, inverter and feeder pillars.

3. External electrical layout showing routing of pipes and cables from transformer & Diesel Generator yard to sub feeder pillar

4. Preparation of Single Line Diagram

5. Preparation of Internal Electrical Conduit, looping and dimension Layouts

6. Preparation of Bill of Quantities with budget

7. Providing inputs and coordination with Architect in finalizing the location and routing of electrical, plumbing lines.

8. Technical evaluation of Tender and recommendation with regard to Material selection and approval, Client modification drawings to be part of shop drawing.

9. Approving shop drawings of vendor, proposed as per site condition.

10. Technical assistance in final commissioning of overall system

11. To suggest remedial measures for any defects arising in the post construction period.

12. Incorporating and getting the overall external coordination drawings (Arch/Electrical and Plumbing)

13. Submission of tender documents, Tender drawing and cost estimate with working details for all services.

ELV SERVICES:

1. Preparation of Networking, Intercom and Television System Layout

2. Preparation of security system (CCTV) layout

3. Preparation of ELV BOQ.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in Civil or Construction sector

· Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD,).

· Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
