Job Description
This position will be responsible for engaging customers, departments, and leading the design of building electrical systems for a variety of campus projects. The responsibilities include scheduling, leading, and participating in meetings with clients and defining project parameters, authoring project budgets and schedules; and working with architects, engineers and other designers and project managers to provide coordinated and complete designs. These designs may include preparing contract documents and technical specifications suitable for bidding or for issuance to internal construction forces. Other responsibilities included preparing building permit applications and monitoring the quality and progress of construction projects. Minimum Qualifications
Depending Upon the candidates experience potential Employees will be employed as an Engineer II, Senior Engineer, or Managing Engineer.
Candidates for the position shall have a bachelor's degree (preferably in Electrical Engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 6 years’ experience in Electrical design for buildings. Licensed as a Professional Engineering in Missouri or the ability to obtain within three months of employment at the University is desired.
