Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in the Oil & Gas sector to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical design engineering, industry standards, and project execution within Oil & Gas environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical design deliverables including SLDs, schematics, layouts, cable schedules, load lists, and equipment specifications.
• Perform electrical calculations (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, grounding, lighting, etc.).
• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and design documents for LV/MV systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil) to ensure design integration.
• Support project execution from concept to detailed engineering and IFC stage.
• Review vendor documents, evaluate technical offers, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure designs adhere to international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, API).
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Attend client meetings, review comments, and implement design modifications as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC/consultancy environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design codes and standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Immediate joiners (0–15 days) are preferred.
