Electrical Design Engineer(BIM)

Job Overview:

COENGR is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with proven experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) ,

The ideal candidate will be capable of designing and reviewing electrical systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, ensuring compliance with local authority regulations, project requirements, and industry standards.

Hands-on experience in both BIM modelling and 2D electrical drafting is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and review low and medium voltage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
• Lead and coordinate BIM modelling (Revit MEP) for electrical systems across all project stages.
• Prepare and verify 2D electrical drawings (AutoCAD) including layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and shop drawings.
• Perform load calculations and ensure accuracy of all technical deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with Aldar standards, TAQA regulations, ADM, and Estidama requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and BIM modelers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–8 years of relevant UAE experience.
• Strong expertise in BIM (Revit MEP is mandatory).
• Proficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCAD (mandatory requirement).
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations (Elect. TAQA , ADM, Estidama).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
