Electrical Design Intern

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Design Intern to support our engineering team in the design and documentation of electrical systems for ground-mounted solar power plants. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical exposure to renewable energy projects, industry tools, and professional engineering practices.

Responsibilities
As an intern, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to:

• Electrical Design Support

- Assist in preparing electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
- Draft wiring diagrams, equipment placement, and conduit layouts using AutoCAD.

• Earthing & Lightning Protection

- Learn to design earthing layouts and perform basic grounding calculations.
- Prepare lightning protection drawings.

• Panel & Cable Management

- Draft GA drawings for LT panels.
- Prepare cable schedules, trench layouts, and routing plans.

• Project Coordination

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather inputs for design.
- Update drawings and documents based on team feedback.

• Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain organized project files and design records.
- Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of solar power plant systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD (knowledge of ETAP / PVsyst is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a professional engineering environment.
