Electrical Designer

Job Description:

Successful candidate is proficient in all aspects of the electrical and instrumentation design of, as well as specification and procurement of equipment required for such facilities. Works with engineers, designers, clients, contractors, and vendors to establish solutions. Consult with senior electrical engineers and designers for leadership and mentoring. Design low and medium voltage systems, one lines, motor schematics, plans and elevations, installation details, drawing lists, cable sizing, and other basic electrical calculations.

Areas included, but not limited to, are:

1) Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Centers.

2) PLC computers for control and automation.

3) Instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, flow elements, control valves, etc.

4) Un-interruptible Power Systems.

5) Facility Operations Narratives including HAZOP philosophy and Cause and Effect Charts.

6) Drawings such as Wiring Diagrams, Motor Schematics, Plot Plans for conduit & cable routing and Conduit & Cable Schedules, etc.

7) Detail drawings

Requirements:

- AutoCAD experience

- experience in Midstream Oil & Gas Industry

- experience with meter sites and compressor stations

- minimum of 2 yrs. experience required

*** Flexible Fridays offered - half day Fridays as long as you meet your 40 hrs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
