Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. The role involves creating and reviewing electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and cable routing designs for oil & gas and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work remotely while attending key meetings and site visits near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, cable routing, and grounding system drawings.

· Develop 2D and 3D electrical models using CAD tools such as SPEL, AutoCAD and Plant 3D.

· Ensure designs comply with relevant international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, etc.).

· Support the preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTO) for electrical systems.

· Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams for integrated plant design.

· Review vendor drawings and provide technical feedback to ensure design compatibility.

· Assist with field support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

· Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with HSE and project requirements.

· Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records of electrical systems.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

· 3–8 years of experience as an electrical designer in oil & gas or industrial projects.

· Proficiency in design software such as SPEL, AutoCAD, SP3D, AVEVA, Plant 3D, or equivalent.

· Knowledge of international electrical design codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, etc.).

· Experience in preparing electrical layouts and interdisciplinary coordination.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

· Attention to detail and strong documentation abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
