Job Description:
General Summary
With direct supervision from the Manager of Electrical Engineering or senior staff, apply electrical analysis, design and drafting skills to develop engineering design documents for lighting, power, and associated control systems. Provide computer-aided design (CAD) technical production support in the discipline of electrical engineering and related coordination for process and building systems.
Essential Job Functions:

Possess basic engineering knowledge to support the designer and/or engineering to design or analyze electrical systems for the installation, interconnection, and control of electrical and mechanical components using applicable codes.

Prepare working drawings using computer aided design (CAD) technology. Provide CAD support to more senior staff.

Work closely with architects and engineers during design phase of project to understand project scope of work and provide assistance to setup the electrical model. Make corrections and produce final documents for engineer’s review. Check for integration of sections and coordination of disciplines.

Work with architects and engineers to resolve document coordination and production problems.

Possess/demonstrate the graphic ability to produce construction documents per company standards upon request.

Conduct field measuring and checking at the project site.

Perform related duties as assigned.
Employment Qualifications:
Education:
-
Associate’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
-
1-5 years related and progressively more responsible experience in electrical engineering field.
Skills/Competencies:

Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and MSWord

Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD

Bluebeam
-
BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
