The Electrical Designer position is responsible for providing design and drafting services in support of substation and utility projects, ensuring all work meets client standards, industry practices, and applicable codes. This role will utilize AutoCAD Electrical to develop detailed design drawings, schematics, and layouts that support project execution and client deliverables.

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent

3- to 5-years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical.

Electrical design/drafting experience & skilled in standard drafting practices

Knowledge of or proficient in field investigations and measurements

Familiarity with utility and client-specific standards
-
Working knowledge of or familiarity with Microsoft Office products

Strong attention to detail and performing self-checking of work

Ability to work independently

Ability to travel to client sites as needed

Additional responsibilities associated with The Utility and Substation Designer may include visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, standing, climbing ladders and lifting.
