Electrical Designer / Engineer (Architectural Engineering – Lighting & Power)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer/Engineer with a background in Architectural Engineering and a focus on lighting and power design for buildings. This role requires strong technical expertise in Revit and related design tools, as well as the ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of experience, with the potential to oversee 1–2 junior team members if leadership skills are demonstrated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design lighting and power systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use building projects.
• Produce detailed electrical drawings and documentation in Revit.
• Utilize ElumTools, AGI, and Enscape (as applicable) for lighting calculations, analysis, and visualization.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
• Review project requirements, code compliance, and client specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members (if applicable).
• Support project delivery from concept through construction administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical/lighting design for buildings.
• Proficiency in Revit (required).
• Experience with ElumTools, AGI, and Enscape a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and building systems.
• P.E. license not required, but considered a plus.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage and mentor 1–2 junior staff preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
