Salary: $65,000 – $80,000

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Electrical Controls Engineer will be to create electrical drawings, enclosure layouts, and related technical documentation for the quoting, design, and fabrication of custom electrical control panels.

Design work in AutoCAD can be performed remotely on a part-time basis. Hands-on work in the office is requested 2-3 times a week for product testing and software implementation.

Qualifications:

• Experience in electrical schematic design and control panel layout
• Proficiency in Electrical AutoCAD
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or trade school certification in drafting, design, or equivalent
• 5-10 Years of experience in electrical drafting, programming PLC’s and HMI controls
• Proficiency in working with both hardware and embedded firmware
• Proficiency in working with analog circuits, digital circuits, microcontrollers, and sensor technologies
• Experience with test equipment
• UL 508A

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and analyze new electronics devices and components
• Create and analyze product specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical electronics design
• Develop and maintain product-sustaining plans including technical procedures, documents, and manuals
• Perform worst-case and failure mode analysis
• Create and execute engineering order changes
• Oversee the work of technicians who provide technical support
• Quality control and testing of final product; troubleshooting issues

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A basic understanding of Microsoft Office products, such as Excel and Outlook
• Solid organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• High Level of integrity and loyalty
• Detailed oriented mindset
• Total comprehension of all internal components, including drives
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new approaches and methods
• MUST have severe IBS to blend into company culture
