Electrical Draftsman

Job Summary:
COENGR is seeking an experienced Electrical Draftsman to join our Ras Al Khaimah team. The role involves preparing accurate electrical design drawings and documentation in line with project specifications, engineering standards, and UAE regulations for building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
• Interpret engineers’ designs, sketches, and specifications to produce precise technical drawings.
• Prepare drawings for lighting, power distribution, ELV, and other electrical systems.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and integration.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and quantity take-offs when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical drafting, preferably in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, detailing, and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret and produce accurate technical drawings from engineering inputs.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in work.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work experience in an engineering consultancy.
• Familiarity with RAK Municipality requirements and UAE electrical codes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
