Electrical Draftsman – Job Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics based on design specifications and engineering inputs
• Develop power, lighting, grounding, low-current, and ELV system drawings
• Produce single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, panel schedules, and load calculations drawings
• Draft electrical plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, and other disciplines to resolve design clashes
• Revise and update drawings according to comments, site conditions, and project changes
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
• Prepare as-built drawings reflecting actual site installations
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and document control
• Assist engineers with quantity take-offs and material schedules
• Use CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) efficiently and accurately
• Support project teams during construction and installation phases
• Adhere to company drafting standards and quality requirements
