Electrical Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsman to join our MEP contracting team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with project specifications and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical shop drawings for power, lighting, low current, fire alarm, and ELV systems.
• Develop coordinated MEP drawings in line with architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings and revisions as per site changes.
• Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing draftsmen to avoid clashes.
• Ensure drawings comply with consultant and local authority standards.
• Assist project engineers with material submittals and technical documentation.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.
• Attend coordination meetings when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.
• 2–5 years of experience in MEP contracting (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations (if UAE-based).
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in GCC projects.
• Knowledge of BIM/Revit (added advantage).
