Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, planning, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage transmission line projects (typically 132kV and above). The candidate will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review detailed electrical designs for transmission lines including conductor sizing, insulator selection, tower configuration, and grounding systems.
• Analyze load flow, short circuit, and stability using power system analysis tools.
• Conduct technical evaluations of equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and line protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with local standards (e.g., DEWA).
• Support site surveys, route selection, and feasibility studies for transmission lines.
• Monitor and inspect installation of transmission line components to ensure quality and safety.
• Assist in testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, earth resistance, and line energization procedures.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for equipment and materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Experience: 3–5 years in transmission line projects (132kV or higher preferred).
• Familiarity with substation interface design.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic
