Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support our project teams in the successful execution of electrical contracting projects. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in project design, supervision, and management within the construction industry, focusing on electrical systems installation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Support: Assist the Project Manager and Senior Engineers in the planning, execution, and closing of electrical projects.
• Technical Drawings: Prepare, review, and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Site Supervision: Supervise and monitor on-site electrical installation works, including cabling, conduit installation, panel board termination, and lighting systems, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and safety standards.
• Material Management: Assist in preparing material submittals for consultant approval and perform quantity take-offs for procurement.
• Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports, maintain project documentation, and assist in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections and tests on electrical systems to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project workflow and resolve any technical issues on site.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company health and safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment on site.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 0-1 years of experience. Internships or training in a construction or contracting environment will be a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD for creating and reading technical drawings.

Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).

Familiarity with electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-current systems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work under pressure.

• Language: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
• License: A valid driver's license is preferred.
