Electrical Engineer

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems, components, and equipment for projects.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and electrical layouts.
  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and system protection design.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, DEWA, etc.).
  • Review and approve electrical materials and equipment submittals.
  • Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance stages.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
  • Minimum [2] years of experience in electrical engineering (preferably in [industry: construction, MEP, power, oil & gas, etc.]) at UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, Revit, etc.).
  • Good understanding of power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-current systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, FE/PE, or local authority approval) is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and site-based role depending on project requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • UAE: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • DRIVING LICENSE (Required)
