Qualifications And Responsibilities
Blacksea Technologies is seeking an electrical engineer with 3-10 years’ experience, to work on a variety of tasks related to design, integration, and testing of prototype systems for Department of Defense and commercial programs. The successful candidate will have experience and/or strong interests in the design of electrical and electronic component networks for production and prototype machinery and vessels. Equipment used in these networks includes, but is not limited to: - Electric motors (from fractional HP to > 100 hp) and motor controllers including servo systems and variable frequency drives - Control systems comprised of micro-controllers, programmable logic controllers, and other digital controllers that are used with machinery and robotics - Switches and sensors used to detect the motion of components - Power supplies, battery chargers, and power conversion equipment - CANbus and Ethernet equipment - Communications equipment including mesh radios and SATCOM equipment - Industrial electrical design and control systems - Data acquisition and data logging equipment - Computing equipment - Hydraulic systems - Conventional vessel Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical components including propulsion and power distribution systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution 3-10 years relevant experience Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems Proven ability to size electrical and electronic components and wiring systems, and document in schematics and one-line diagrams Ability to work with test equipment to diagnose and experiment with existing and newly developed circuits and systems. Ability to coordinate and track project-level work efforts including interfacing with technicians for the fabrication, assembly, and testing of hardware. Good communications skills and organizational skills.
