Position Summary:
We are seeking an
Electrical Engineer with strong estimating expertise to join our team. This role will focus on preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects while also supporting design, development, and maintenance of electrical and control systems within our fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of electrical systems and automation with the ability to interpret project requirements, evaluate labor and material costs, and deliver competitive, precise estimates that align with customer specifications and company goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Project Support:-
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical components, systems, and automation projects related to fabrication equipment and installations.

Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine electrical scope, materials, and labor needs.

Work closely with sales, project management, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate bid preparation and pricing strategies.

Source and evaluate supplier quotes, material costs, and subcontractor bids.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value-engineering solutions.

Assist in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for awarded projects.

Track and analyze estimate-to-actual cost performance to improve future estimating accuracy.
Engineering & Technical Responsibilities:-
Design and maintain electrical systems for machinery, automation, and power distribution within the facility.

Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.

Specify and select components including motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, and control panels.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in fabrication and production equipment.

Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other relevant electrical standards.

Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and automation systems.

Collaborate with mechanical, maintenance, and controls teams to optimize system reliability and performance.
Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

5+ years of experience in electrical estimating and project costing within manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial construction.

Strong understanding of electrical systems design, controls integration, and automation technologies.

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and proposals.

Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial motor control systems (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is a plus.
