Electrical Engineer

• Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in Electrical systems design, construction processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Planning:
• Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports for Electrical systems.
• Coordinate the design process with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to ensure integration of electrical systems into building plans.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the construction and installation of Electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors involved in Electrical work to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
• System Evaluation & Testing:
• Conduct site inspections and perform system testing to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and meeting performance standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with Electrical systems during the installation phase and in post-construction phases.
• Monitor energy consumption and propose energy-efficient solutions for ongoing optimization.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all Electrical designs and installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and ensure safety during system installation.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and project managers to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Communicate technical details and updates to clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and project alignment.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
• Experience:
• 3+ years of UAE experience in the design and management of Electrical systems in construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for designing Electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical power distribution, lighting systems and other essential MEP components.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards for Electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit, or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork and reporting.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or E1 certification .
• QCC certification .
• HSO certification .
