Electrical Engineer

Overview:

Responsible for the engineering, design, and support of high-voltage transmission and substation systems within an electrical utility environment. This role involves the planning and development of projects ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV , ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the power grid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed electrical design and analysis for substation and transmission projects from 12 kV to 500 kV .
• Develop one-line diagrams, protection & control schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layouts .
• Conduct electrical studies, including short circuit, load flow, grounding, and insulation coordination .
• Support equipment specification, procurement, and vendor drawing reviews .
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning of substation and transmission facilities.
• Ensure all work complies with utility standards , IEEE , NESC , NEC , and NEMA codes.
• Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and field teams to ensure project completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
