We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team of SAMA MEP, which plays a critical role in delivering technical excellence and support through the development of accurate, coordinated, and code-compliant engineering deliverables for our projects across the region.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing shop drawings for Electrical systems, collaborating closely with senior engineers, and supporting effective coordination with other engineering disciplines. This role requires strong technical knowledge, proactive collaboration skills, and a commitment to engineering standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and prepare shop drawings for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, data, CCTV, access control, public address, and BMS.

- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

- Apply engineering principles and calculations, including voltage drop, cable sizing, short circuit, and load analysis, use tools such as ETAP or equivalent.

- Conduct site visits to collect data, validate conditions, and ensure design compliance with real-world site constraints.

- Prepare and review riser and single line diagrams, electrical layouts, and material specifications.

- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and projects specifications.

- Coordinate effectively with mechanical , civil, and fitout trades to ensure interdisciplinary alignment.

- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including clarifications and adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and shop drawings preparation.

- Technical Skills:

       - Proficiency in AutoCAD.

- BIM experience, working with Revit MEP, Navisworks, Tekla, or other BIM coordination platforms.

       - Strong understanding of  low and medium voltage systems and low current data and control systems.

- Language: Strong command of English (verbal and written).

- Other Skills:

       - Excellent communication and coordination skills.

       - Meticulous attention to detail and strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
