Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, supervising, and ensuring the proper installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for ongoing and upcoming projects. The role involves coordination with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant electrical works.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, panel schedules, and equipment selection.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems (power, lighting, ELV, control systems).
• Conduct site inspections and ensure all works comply with approved drawings, standards, and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements (MS) and risk assessments (RA).
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and propose effective technical solutions.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA/ADDC/SEWA/FEWA) and international standards (IEC, IEEE).
• Participate in tendering activities, cost estimation, and technical evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experienced(construction/MEP/FM industry preferred) / Freshers can apply
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protection principles, design standards, and installation practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and any electrical design software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of local authority regulations and approval processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
