Electrical Engineer II

Location: Onsite – Newington, NH

Compensation: $105,000 annually (less for new graduates) + 4% bonus

Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder


Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for plant electrical engineering across this company’s SCS and OTS facilities. This includes oversight of plant power distribution, lockout/tagout systems, data acquisition, and the electrical components of production lines, standalone equipment, and manufacturing systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program and troubleshoot AC/DC digital/analog drive systems, PLCs, and HMI programs
  • Maintain and back up production line PLC programs on the plant network drive
  • Perform electrical design, modifications, instrumentation upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain Arc Flash analysis, labeling, and coordination studies for plant power distribution and production lines
  • Set up and manage machine data acquisition systems and data logging software (Citeck, Wonderware) for extrusion and loose tube lines, including scripting, server data capture, and report generation
  • Administer electrical and mechanical lockout/tagout systems in compliance with OSHA safety programs
  • Diagnose electrical failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement upgrades to improve uptime, output, quality, and reliability
  • Set up and maintain PC line Liburdi WinTube welding systems
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and electrical wiring/schematic drawings using AutoCAD; update plant and production line documentation
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL standards
  • Follow SubCom EH&S policies and promote safe work practices
  • Apply LEAN manufacturing tools, including 5S+1 in office areas and TPM on the manufacturing floor
  • Collaborate with process engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and IT teams to improve quality, cost, and delivery


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, motors, and drive systems
  • Hands‑on experience with electrical troubleshooting and system upgrades
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical documentation
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and compliance standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, UL)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Must be onsite and within commuting distance (local candidates only)
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data acquisition systems (Citeck, Wonderware)
  • Background in Arc Flash analysis and coordination studies
  • Familiarity with Liburdi WinTube welding systems
  • Exposure to LEAN manufacturing practices (5S, TPM)
  • Internship or project experience in controls/automation (for new graduates)
