We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with approximately 4 years of experience in construction projects to join our site team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, coordinating with contractors, and supporting safe and efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Monitor and oversee electrical installations including LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, grounding, cabling, and equipment installations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Project Coordination: Liaise with project managers, civil/mechanical teams, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution.
- Technical Support: Review electrical shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and provide technical clarifications when needed.
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (e.g., continuity tests, insulation resistance, functional testing).
- Progress Monitoring: Track site progress, identify delays or issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce electrical safety procedures and support site HSE requirements.
- Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly site reports, inspection requests, red-line drawings, and maintain records of completed work.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot site issues and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably on construction sites.
- Solid knowledge of electrical installation standards, local codes, and construction practices.
- Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design software, and MS Office tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Strong site supervision, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and solve technical issues effectively.
- Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures for electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with standards such as IEC, NEC, BS, and local regulations.
- Previous experience working with contractors or consultants.
- Valid engineering license (if required by local authority).
Work Environment
- Full-time, site-based role.
- Requires regular field inspections and coordination with labor teams and subcontractors.
- May involve overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
