About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
ELV Engineer
to join our team for a major hospital development project. This role is dedicated to overseeing the design review, installation, testing, and commissioning of all Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring full compliance with healthcare requirements and international standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in ELV systems, excellent coordination capabilities, and solid experience working on complex building or healthcare projects.
As an ELV Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all ELV systems are executed accurately, safely, and in accordance with approved project specifications. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and various stakeholders to maintain quality, functionality, and timely delivery of the ELV scope throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Review & Compliance

Review and comment on ELV design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, healthcare regulations and applicable international standards.

Verify system integration requirements between ELV systems and other MEP disciplines.
2. Site Supervision & Inspection

Monitor and inspect ELV installations to ensure adherence to approved drawings, quality standards, and safety practices.

Conduct regular site walks to verify progress and compliance.

Witness testing and commissioning activities for all ELV systems.
3. Coordination & Interface Management

Coordinate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams to resolve conflicts and interface issues.

Liaise with authority representatives for inspection, testing, and system approvals.

Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support to the project team.
4. Documentation & Reporting
-
Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and test reports.

Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and close-out documentation.

Maintain up-to-date records of ELV system approvals, tests, and handover documents.
5. Systems Coverage
The ELV Engineer shall oversee and ensure compliance and functionality for the following systems (as applicable to hospital projects):

Structured Cabling (Data & Voice Network)

CCTV and Security Systems (Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, etc.)

Nurse Call System
-
IPTV / SMATV System
-
Master Clock System
-
Building Management System (BMS) / Integration Interface
-
Audiovisual (AV) Systems for Conference & Operation Rooms

Parking Management & Barrier Control System
-
Queue Management and Patient Information Systems
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Ensure that pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities are properly conducted and witnessed.

Verify integration between ELV systems and other hospital operational systems.

Ensure proper training for client/end-user operation teams during handover.
7. Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering.

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in ELV systems supervision, design review, and testing within
healthcare experience
.

Experience with authority approval processes (e.g., Civil Defense, DOH, IT/Telecom, etc.).
