Electrical Engineer – Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repair, rewinding, and maintenance of electric motors, alternators, and related electrical machinery.
- Perform motor testing (insulation resistance, winding resistance, high voltage test, no-load test, etc.) to ensure performance and safety compliance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in motors such as winding failures, bearing issues, or insulation breakdowns.
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities, test results, and spare parts used.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance schedules are followed for all electrical equipment.
- Adhere to all electrical safety standards and company procedures during repair and testing.
- Support installation and commissioning of new motors and control panels when required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of experience in motor repair, maintenance, or testing (preferably in an industrial or service center setup).
- Good knowledge of motor winding, insulation materials, and testing instruments.
- Familiar with control circuits, starters, VFDs, and power distribution panels.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
