Electrical Engineer – Solar Projects (2–3 Years Experience)

Company Overview
We are an established engineering and electromechanical company operating across the UAE, specializing in solar power systems, water pumping solutions, and energy-efficient infrastructure. As we expand our solar division, we are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in solar system design and implementation.

Job Responsibilities

• Design on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems (residential, agricultural, and industrial).
• Prepare load calculations, system sizing, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and feasibility evaluations.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of solar systems.
• Coordinate with procurement, installation teams, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with UAE electrical codes, DEWA/SEWA/FEWA regulations, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and provide technical support.
• Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and documentation for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• 2–3 years of experience specifically in solar PV system design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of solar technologies: inverters, charge controllers, energy storage, and mounting structures.
• Proficiency in design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements for solar systems (DEWA/SEWA/FEWA).
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred but not mandatory).
