Electrical Engineer

Wilderman & Associates, Inc. is a locally owned engineering consulting firm capable of providing multi-disciplined engineering and design services. Wilderman & Associates has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer.

This position communicates directly with clients and vendors to develop project scopes, timelines, and deadlines. While providing professional knowledge and support to the client and design team, oversees and participates in the generation of construction packages.

Types of projects include, but are not limited to, industrial and commercial design, electrical system modifications, lighting and electrical component specifications, data and communication system design, and power distribution design.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage electrical design projects from concept through record drawing stages.
• Estimate electrical design and project installation costs.
• Generate electrical design and installation packages.
• Specify and size electrical system components to comply with industry standards, national construction codes, and state and local building codes.
• Work with clients and vendors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with coordination of mechanical and electrical design projects.
• Proactively communicate with clients regarding future projects.
• Provide leadership and recommendations within the electrical discipline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology is required, EIT and/or PE preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Expert knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards.
• Proven understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills including interdepartmentally.
• Working experience with AutoCAD required.
• Working experience with MicroStation is preferred but not required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
