We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage electrical works in MEP construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in site execution, coordination, and supervision of electrical systems in compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the execution of electrical works at construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved shop drawings and project specifications.
- Review and validate electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Plan and coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor and inspect electrical installations, including LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, ELV systems, and earthing & lightning protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (ADDC, DEWA, DM, Civil Defense, etc.).
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Approval Requests (MARs), Method Statements, and related documentation.
- Identify and resolve site-related technical issues and coordinate with consultants for approvals.
- Prepare and update project progress reports and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover processes of electrical systems.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering within MEP construction projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and testing.
- Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes (ADDC, DEWA, DM, ADM, Civil Defense, etc.).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
