ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise in the maintenance and operation of electrical systems. The successful candidate will ensure electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components throughout the power plant.

• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance of switchgear, transformers, control panels, motors, and wiring systems.

• Identify and replace faulty components; fine-tune systems for optimal performance.

• Calibrate electrical equipment to ensure safe operation, with particular attention during winter months.

• Review and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.

• Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with plant specifications and safety standards.

• Implement and enforce LOTO procedures for safe isolation of electrical systems.

• Prepare maintenance reports, equipment condition assessments, and deviation logs.

• Provide technical guidance and supervision to Electrical Technicians and Helpers.

• Respond to emergency call-outs within six (6) hours when required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

✓ Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

✓ Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a power plant or heavy industrial setting.

✓ Strong experience with switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and HV/LV systems.

✓ Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and technical documentation.

✓ Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.

✓ Certifications in HV/LV safety, LOTO, and electrical testing preferred.

Pay: RO400.000 - RO500.000 per month
