Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer within the manufacturing sector, you will play a critical role developing, and maintaining electrical systems utilizing both hardware and software skills to ensure efficient power distribution and operational reliability. No staffing agencies or sponsorship at this time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in power distribution design within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of high or medium voltage electrical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Programming HMIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid schematics understanding. Eplan ideal (will train).
• Software or ladder logic Siemens, Allen Bradley / Rockwell, etc. from scratch.
• Excited to learn and grow with FANUC/ABB robotics (5 courses over 12-18 months, $15k+ invested in you).
• Build an electric panel, hardwire, run-off, test, troubleshoot onsite and in field when necessary with supervision.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, install, test and troubleshoot electrical programs in capital equipment (machinery).
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams,
• Specify, select, and coordinate protective relays and other electrical protection devices to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and project teams to troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Support commissioning and testing activities for electrical systems and equipment in HERCO's shop or in field at project end.
• Current passport required or application first 30-days at employee's expense. No travel restrictions into Canada.
• Maintain documentation and update electrical design records throughout project lifecycles.
• Salary - $70K++ DOE
