Electrical Engineer

Based in Wymondham, Alan R Cross & Son Ltd is a long-established family electrical contracting business undertaking a wide range of electrical works across Norfolk. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer / Approved Electrician to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected company working across a varied and interesting portfolio of projects including:

• Specialist and historical building work

The Role

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding works to a high standard, both independently and as part of a team.

The role will involve:

• Commercial and industrial electrical installations
• Inspection, testing and fault finding
• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety
• Communicating professionally with clients and colleagues
• Managing jobs remotely using our Job Logic system

Minimum Requirements

• Fully qualified electrician
• Current 18th Edition qualification
• NVQ Level 3 or recognised City & Guilds equivalent
• Commercial electrical experience essential
• Testing & Inspection qualification advantageous (2391 or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
